This Privacy Policy explains how CantoVerse (“the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, processes, and protects information in connection with your use of the App.

By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

CantoVerse currently does not require users to create an account or log in. We do not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, identification documents, or other information that directly identifies you.

2. Information We May Collect

To maintain app stability, improve the user experience, and understand how features are used, we may collect anonymous, aggregated, diagnostic, or usage-related information through Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or similar services. This may include:

app launches, page views, feature interactions, and other usage events;
device type, operating system version, app version, and language settings;
crash logs, error reports, performance data, and stability diagnostics;
anonymous statistics relating to music discovery, chart browsing, song pages, and outbound listening links.

CantoVerse may use an anonymous app identifier to support lightweight interactions such as 「撐呢首」, including preventing duplicate support actions for the same song and maintaining basic interaction integrity. This identifier is not used for public profiles, comments, messaging, third-party advertising, or cross-app tracking.

We do not intentionally collect information that directly identifies you. Certain third-party services may technically process device identifiers, diagnostics, or similar data in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.

3. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App;
to understand which features work well and which user flows need improvement;
to diagnose crashes, errors, loading issues, and other technical problems;
to improve the music discovery, chart browsing, song page, and recommendation experience;
to comply with legal, security, platform, and policy requirements.

4. Third-Party Services

The App may use or link to third-party services, including but not limited to:

Firebase Analytics;
Firebase Crashlytics;
Google Play, Apple App Store, or other app distribution platforms;
YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, KKBOX, MOOV, or other external music platforms;
RevenueCat or in-app purchase related services if support or purchase features are enabled.

When you tap an outbound listening link, you may leave the App and open a third-party platform. The collection, use, storage, and sharing of information by those platforms are governed by their own privacy policies, terms, and account settings. We do not control how third-party platforms process your information.

We do not sell user data.

We may process or share information in the following circumstances:

with service providers that support analytics, crash reporting, app distribution, payment processing, or infrastructure;
to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, government requests, or platform policies;
to protect the rights, safety, security, and legitimate interests of the App, users, developers, or the public;
in anonymous, aggregated, or non-identifying form for analytics and product improvement.

6. Children’s Privacy

CantoVerse is intended for a general music audience and is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can address the matter.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission over the internet, electronic storage, or third-party processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure. By using the App, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

8. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including app operation, diagnostics, legal compliance, platform requirements, and product improvement. Anonymous or aggregated information may be retained for longer periods.

9. Your Choices

You may manage certain data, notification, or tracking preferences through your device settings, app store settings, or third-party platform account settings. You may also choose not to open outbound third-party links.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be made available in the App or on the relevant policy page, and the “Last updated” date will indicate the latest version. Continued use of the App after updates means that you acknowledge the updated policy.
